Generally speaking, Tiago is the most famous resident of Papago Park. When he and his family spent summer evenings on the Poreč coast, if you were among the visitors, you had to meet Tiago. He is always friendly. Playful, cheerful, silly, ready to be friends with anyone who wants to approach him. Gentle to everyone, especially children and girls. Playing with Tiago has become an indispensable addition to summer evenings in Poreč, and many people take photos with Tiago, thus carrying memories of an unforgettable summer in Croatia all over the world.

Papagoa's expert team provides educational courses for small groups of visitors who want to learn more about ways to preserve nature and protect the most endangered bird species from extinction. Papago has its own educational center in the park. For a better experience, during the class, visitors can see and interact with the birds.

The primary goals of Papago Park are to preserve nature and protect the world's most endangered bird species from extinction. CITES protection rules are also the basis of Papago Park rules. All birds living in Papago were hatched in one of the registered breeding facilities in the countries that have signed the CITES agreement. There are no inhabitants of Papago Park whose known ancestors were taken from the wild. Nesting sites and protection of breeding programs are provided for the most endangered species. There is no possibility of commercial breeding of birds in Papago Park. Our intention is to exchange newborn birds with zoos around the world that share our attitude.

Papago Park is located in the untouched forests of the city of Poreč, near the Istrian coast of the Croatian Adriatic. With its natural environment and an area of 30,000 square meters, Papago provides ideal living conditions for parrots and other exotic birds. The mild Mediterranean climate, the proximity of the Adriatic Sea and the shadow of the forest made it a unique imitation of the natural environment for the inhabitants of Papago. Built exclusively from natural materials, Papago Park has retained its ecological status. There are currently more than 200 parrots and other exotic birds in Papago Park. More than 25 species of birds live there, and some of them have been declared the most endangered in the world. Also, Papago Park was created according to the needs of each visitor. That's why we made it accessible to visitors with disabilities and adapted it to wheels.
